About Sigmund Lee
I am a long time resident of Richmond Hill and a professional accountant with over 30 years of experience in finance, oversight, and accountability.
As a CPA FCA (Ireland), my career has been built on asking the right questions, managing risk, and ensuring that decisions are made responsibly and with clear results.
That same approach is what I believe is missing at City Hall today.
Community Involvement
I have been actively involved in community service over many years and believe strongly in giving back.
- I am a lifetime blood donor, with over 200 donations
- I have volunteered my time to support community initiatives and programs
- I have served in leadership roles within community organizations, helping guide programs and support those in need
I believe public service starts with personal responsibility and giving back to the community.
These experiences have given me a direct understanding of the challenges people face and the importance of making thoughtful, responsible decisions at the local level.
Why I’m Running
Like many residents, I have seen how decisions at City Hall affect everyday life and why getting them right matters.
Costs continue to rise, while the value delivered to residents has not kept pace.
Too many decisions are made without enough oversight, without clear accountability, and without a long term plan.
I am running in Ward 2 because I believe our community deserves better representation and stronger leadership at City Hall.
Residents deserve leadership that is focused, disciplined, and prepared to make decisions that deliver real value.
What I Bring
I bring a practical, results focused approach to public service.
My background in finance means I understand:
- How to evaluate spending decisions
- How to identify risk before it becomes a problem
- How to ensure accountability in complex projects
- How to focus on outcomes, not just intentions
I am not a career politician. I believe local government should be grounded in common sense, responsibility, and respect for taxpayers.
My Commitment to Residents
If elected, I will represent the residents of Ward 2 by:
- Focusing on responsible spending and stronger oversight
- Asking the hard questions before decisions are made
- Prioritizing the services residents rely on every day
- Working to build a more vibrant, livable community
Most importantly, I will treat this role as a full time responsibility and give it the attention it deserves.
