I am a long-time Richmond Hill resident who lives in Ward 2. My experience includes more than 30 years in finance, auditing, oversight, risk management, and corporate restructuring, together with decades of community service.

I am running because residents deserve a councillor who understands the neighbourhood, examines decisions carefully, asks difficult questions, and remains accountable for results.

Richmond Hill Homeowner Since the 1990s

I have lived in the same Richmond Hill home since the 1990s and have been its owner from the beginning.

Over the years, I have watched Richmond Hill grow and change. I understand the opportunities that growth can bring, but I also understand residents’ concerns about traffic, development, affordability, infrastructure, neighbourhood character, and the quality of local services.

Richmond Hill is not simply where I am running for office. It is my home.

More Than 30 Years of Professional Experience

I am a CPA and FCA (Ireland) with more than 30 years of experience in finance, auditing, oversight, risk management, corporate restructuring, and operational accountability.

My work has required me to examine financial information carefully, identify risks early, question assumptions, establish priorities, and focus on measurable results.

I was also part of a team that helped turn around a financially distressed company and build it into a stable and successful business.

What That Experience Taught Me

• Good intentions must be supported by sound financial planning.
• Risks should be identified before they become expensive problems.
• Leaders must distinguish between what is essential and what can wait.
• Every major commitment should have clear costs, responsibilities, and expected results.
• Accountability requires following through and measuring outcomes.

These are the same principles I would bring to decisions at Richmond Hill Council.

Community Service Before Politics

Serving the community has been a lifelong commitment, not something that began with this campaign.

Skills for Change

I joined Skills for Change in 1987 when the organization operated from just two rooms. Six years later, I was elected Chair of the Board.

During my time as Chair, the organization experienced significant growth, including its move into a permanent home at 791 St. Clair Avenue West. Today, Skills for Change serves more than 20,000 people annually.

That experience taught me the importance of responsible leadership, long-term planning, careful stewardship, and building organizations that can stand the test of time.

More Than 200 Blood Donations

I have made more than 200 blood donations over four decades. For me, this has never been about recognition. It has been a practical way to help people I may never meet.

Why This Experience Matters at City Hall

My experience comes from finance, organizational turnaround work, and decades of community service, not from holding elected office.

Residents deserve a councillor who will apply those habits to budgets, development proposals, infrastructure decisions, public services, and neighbourhood concerns.
